Cracked Under Crash
For those who’ve red my previous blog post I had the intention to finally complete Red Dead Redemption 2. While I’ve made some nice progress in the story mode and got called a dirty whore by a twelve-year-old when playing online with some lovely vengeance griefing from my side as a result (couldn’t help it, he got what he asked for), it seems I’ve finally cracked. To quote an infamous Vogon “resistance is useless!”
One game on my list was Formula 1 2019, the official licensed F1 game. This one was high on my wishlist, partly cause I had a lot of fun playing 2018, but mainly cause the newest version offers the Formula 2 championship as well. For those unfamiliar with this racing series, you are seriously missing out, but I digress.
Short story long, I didn’t go F1. I went for a game that totally sneaked up on me, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. I didn’t even play the original! It’s the launch trailer and the critical appraise that pushed me into an impulsive purchase. That and the fact that I was looking for a lack-of-switch-alternative for Super Mario Kart Deluxe.
Regrets? None! Playing this game instantly brought a smile to my face. The game is just fun! On the other hand it does require some skill as well and the learning curve is rather steep in the beginning. Nothing a good ol’ Crash Course (oh boy … ) can fix! Can’t wait to play some more, and that’s always a good sign.
