With the little bit of spare time I had this weekend, I decided to revisit the style and goals of Punching The Game, and man am I glad I did!
For starters the Punching The Game logo got a little facelift. I like it better this way if I say so myself, but otherwise I wouldn’t have published it would I?
Now, one thing I always wanted to do besides blogging is starting a YouTube channel. I allready did a little test on that one some time ago with an animation of the site’s logo, but that was about it … Till now!
Since I’m able to capture gameplay footage these days, thanks to my Elgato HD60S, I expect to put a little effort in producing videos as well. You all can see a first timer in the Video section of the blog. I still need to learn the ropes of tools like DaVinci Resolve 12.5 (the combination with Fusion 8 proved to be a bridge too far for now), but I like the result so far, and I hope – if you see it – you do too.
Not sure yet what this will evolve to, but the options of making commentary videos are open. If this turns out to become nothing, it’s still a great experience.. We’ll see!
In the meanwhile I’m looking forward to the release of For Honor. With Watchdogs 2, Rainbox Six Siege and The Division, Ubisoft seems to be killing it with some more than decent games, and I suspect For Honor will be another great addition to their list. The beta proved to be intriguing, so I’m ready to dive in.
That’s about it 😉
Laters and keep on punching!
